Acupuncture has been part of Traditional Chinese Medicine (TCM) for over 3,000 years. An acupuncture treatment starts with the identification of key health issues and the establishment of a diagnosis and treatment plan based on principles of Traditional Chinese Medicine. Acupuncture can effectively treat a wide range of health issues. The main objective of acupuncture treatments is to restore the body’s energetic balance thus improving overall health and well-being. Acupuncture is particularly useful in resolving physical problems related to tension, stress and emotional conditions.

Acupuncture

ACUPUNCTURE involves inserting needles into the body to stimulate sensory nerves in the skin and muscles. This may help treat chronic pain and other physical conditions. Acupuncture has roots in traditional Chinese medicine (TCM) and is now considered a common treatment worldwide.

The World Health Organization endorses acupuncture, and clinical studies have shown it to be a beneficial treatment for many conditions, including: Chronic pain: migraines, neck and back pain, tendonitis, sciatica, carpal tunnel syndrome, fibromyalgia and rheumatoid arthritis.

One well-researched effect of acupuncture is reducing inflammation throughout the body. Acupuncture stimulates chemicals that reduce swelling and quiet unwanted immune responses and allergic reactions.

Electro Acupuncture Medicine EAM

ELECTRO ACUPUNCTURE MEDICINE is a form of acupuncture that blends traditional medicine with the latest research on electro medicine. In this treatment acupuncture needles are stimulated with gentle current that provides extra pulsed electrons to the body.

This extra surge of electrons helps to stimulate the release of neurotransmitters, which balance and modify the processes of the body on a cellular level. This style of acupuncture is highly anti-inflammatory. It treats those suffering from chronic pain, neurological disorders, mood disorders and headaches.

Neoclassical Acupuncture (NCA)

The NCA system requires palpating the abdomen, legs, chest or back as a diagnostic feedback and treatment tool delivering immediate relief and rehabilitation. NCA ‘s overall healing principles prescribe that our bodies have an innate tendency and ability to self-correct in real time, and that diverse symptoms may arise from a single cause. NCA was developed by the world-renowned healer, teacher and lecturer, Dr. Slate Burris (L.Ac.) and Doctorate of Acupuncture & Oriental Medicine. Dr. Burris has over 20 years of practice, studying and further developing the deepest elements of 11th century traditional acupuncture practices with a modern understanding of anatomy, physiology and physics.

Palpation of the patient is key in identifying and providing immediate feedback from corresponding organs and physiological systems where Qi does not flow, becoming stuck and creating blockages, pain or disease. It also reveals the history or stage of development of individual bodily dysfunctions. Palpation is then elevated into acupressure and is used to test the body’s tension and reflex response corresponding to the location and depth of the Qi or organ dysfunctionality.

Minimal needles are strategically placed to create a dramatic effect with rapid relief and a profound sense of deep relaxation. Treatments are highly sophisticated that place needles at specific locations, angles and depths to resolve many health problems and restore homeostasis within a single treatment session. Once obstacles and blockages are removed, the body naturally repatterns itself to a healthy state.

Acupressure

ACUPRESSURE consists of pressing the acupuncture points in an attempt to help the free flow of energy in the channel(s). Acupressure is similar to acupuncture, but the person uses their fingers instead of needles to work the point.

Acupressure is said to help with a range of conditions, from motion sickness to headache to muscle pain, and its benefits are achieved by using pressure points along the energy pathways in the body, to encourage the free flow of energy, or qi.

Cupping

CUPPING therapy is an ancient form of alternative medicine in which the therapist puts special cups on your skin for a few minutes to create suction. People get it for many purposes, including to help with pain, inflammation, blood flow, relaxation and well-being, and as a type of deep-tissue massage.

It dates back to ancient Egyptian, Chinese, and Middle Eastern cultures. One of the oldest medical textbooks in the world, the Ebers Papyrus from 1550 B.C., describes how the ancient Egyptians used cupping therapy for treating fever, pain, vertigo, menstrual problems, and other ailments.
