“At a very young age, I had the profound opportunity to witness the struggles and resilience of individuals grappling with mental health challenges, often compounded by concurrent physical conditions that hindered their ability to thrive. This early exposure not only shaped my understanding of the intricate interplay between mental and physical health but also ignited a passion within me to advocate for holistic approaches to well-being.  One of my uncles was a top research doctor in Guyana, he inspired me to pursue a career in health and medicine. My family immigrated to Canada in the late 80’s where I began my university studies in Liberal Arts. In exploring yoga meditation practices, I realized that healing the physical body also requires healing at the mental and spiritual levels. I have been practicing meditation and breath work since my early 20’s. I became interested in acupuncture because of its energetic and spiritual healing aspects. I began my studies in Acupuncture & Traditional Chinese Medicine (TCM) in a small private school downtown Toronto.”
